
Shillong, June 13: The recommendations of the reservation committee in a summary form will be made available to the government on August 31.
Chief Secretary DP Wahlang, who was entrusted with the task, will submit the recommendations on the steps to be taken by the state government.
The expert committee on the state reservation policy had submitted the report on June 6 in New Delhi to the chief secretary.
“The cabinet has entrusted the task of studying the report to me and I am submitting the report by August 31. After studying the report of the expert committee, I will give a complete recommendation and the steps to be taken by August 31,” he said.
On June 13, the state cabinet wanted Wahlang to study the report and make the summary of the findings.
