Rikman hopes to secure BJP rule in state without corruption

Shillong, Jan 20: Rikman Momin, who was re-elected as state BJP president on Monday, hoped that the party would rule the state without corruption.
Addressing the gathering at the party office, Momin said he wishes to see a BJP goverment in Meghalaya with a focus on corruption-free governance.
“One day, we will rule the state without corruption”, Momin said while asserting his commitment to strengthen the party and promote good governance in Meghalaya.
Union minister of state and national observer for Meghalaya George Kurian announced the re-election of Momin who is yet to complete his tenure as party president.
The party was following the nation-wide exercise of electing state presidents of the party.
Kurian also named cabinet minister AL Hek, Chairman, MTDC Sanbor Shullai and former BJP president Ernest Mawrie as national council members of the party.
Anil Anthony, BJP’s National Secretary in-charge Meghalaya claimed positive relationship between the BJP and the National People’s Party not only in Meghalaya but also in other Northeastern states.
