Shillong, Aug 11: President, Garo Hills Youth Organisation (GHYO) Nazmul Hashan has filed an RTI application on August 7 with the office of the District Agriculture Officer, West Garo Hills, Tura, seeking information as to who are the persons eligible for the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, whether the government employees are eligible for the scheme, who are eligible to be beneficiaries under this scheme, what are the documents required to apply for the scheme besides seeking the list of beneficiaries for the villages Askikandi under Demdema C&RD Block and who are the verifying authority to check the documents submitted by the beneficiaries, how many family members are eligible or entitled to the PM-KISAN from a family/household, whether deceased persons are entitled/eligible for the benefit of the scheme, what will happen if someone submits forged documents with the intention to be beneficiaries of the scheme and what will happen if any verifying authority/officer checks any forged or incorrect documents as genuine and original documents with his or her vested interests.
“As on above, it is to bring to light that the scheme is properly implemented or being properly implemented and no misappropriation has been taken place or being taken place and thereby the RTI application has been filed with the PIO concerned of the said office can furnish information which have been sought in the RTI application.
