Shillong, March 20: The state government on Monday appointed RM Kurbah as the new DC of East Khasi Hills after transferring SC Sadhu who was appointed during the Assembly polls.
According to a government notification, Sadhu has been posted as Director and Secretary of community and rural development department besides holding fisheries and water resources departments.
Eastern West Khasi Hills deputy commissioner W Nongsiej has also been transferred as Secretary in-charge Prisons & Correctional Services department while South West Garo Hills District DC G Kharmawphlang was posted as Deputy Commissioner of Eastern West Khasi Hills.
West Garo Hills DC Swapnil Tembe has been transferred and posted as Joint Secretary of Education department and Director, School Education & Literacy and Special Project Director, SSA while Jagdish Chelani, East Garo Hills DC has been posted as West Garo Hills DC and Vibhor Agarwal, Deputy Secretary of Sports and Youth Affairs has been transferred as East Garo Hills DC.
