Sanbor Shullai slams critics of CM impact guidebook

'Below average students can apply for grade -D posts in state and central government departments'

Shillong, April 16: BJP MLA Sanbor Shullai on Wednesday hailed the CM impact guidebook while opposing the critics.

Appreciating the government’s effort to increase the overall pass percentage, he praised the Chief Minister for the guidebook initiative. Shullai said that such initiatives helped the socio economically disadvantaged students who couldn’t afford good private institutes or tutions. Shullai  defended the initiative by saying that many students who are average or below average in their academics were highly benefitted by this initiative to help them prepare and clear their exams. Shullai said that the increase in pass percentage is because of this initiative taken by the CM.

“We are hopeful that with such measures the state literacy rate will increase and we may achieve a target of 100 percent literacy rate”. Shullai said.

For below average students even to pass exams is a big achievement and those below average students can apply for grade -D posts in various state and central government departments including home police and central forces where minimum criteria is class 10 pass.

Shullai also slammed the critics for trying to rake up the issue. ‘Education is not only for the learned scholars and professionals, but also meaningful for those who are working in different sectors with greater benefits for the deprived sections, Shullai added.
