Shillong, June 17: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has vowed full support to the NCC in the state.
In a meeting with Maj Gen Ananta Bhuyan, ADG NCC North-eastern Region, on Wednesday, said his government will support NCC in its endeavour to strengthen the unity of the country and spread nationalism among the youth.

Sarma was apprised of the various NCC activities in the state, especially the expansion of NCC in border areas of Assam and introduction of NCC as an elective subject in colleges as per UGC guidelines.
Bhuyan assured the chief minister that NCC cadets are always available to the state administration to perform its role in community service, public awareness campaigns and nation building.
