Tura, Nov 22: Three people were rescued by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) following a landslide, which occurred on Thursday at Danakgre on the outskirts of Tura.
The incident occurred in the morning when five labourers were working.

According to Peniwel T. Sangma, Divisional Commandant of Home Guards, Tura Home Guards Division, the SDRF initiated its rescue work at 9:30 am, following a call from the district authority regarding the incident.
The SDRF rescued three labourers and extricated the body of one.
Sangma said another labourer was taken to hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries.
