Shillong, Feb 5: Search for the missing ragpicker has been suspended on Monday due to poor visibility.
“The operation will resume tomorrow at 9 am,” the official said.
Deputy Chief Minister in-charge Urban Affairs Sniawbhalang Dhar told reporters that the missing person is yet to be found.
“We are yet to find whether the body is there or not. The family members of the missing person have requested us to again try to locate the body…so that we are considering,” he said.
Dhar said, “We are confused whether the person really fell or not as we are yet to know as till today no body was found.”
Smart city projects
He said the smart city projects are progressing.
‘Of course, the smart road phase-I is a little bit disturbed because the road is very narrow. Some parts we have dug but we cannot dig directly because as per report received by me there is are pipelines,” Dhar said.
He said the department will have to consult the PHE on the matter and this will take time.
