Shillong, July 24: The army and the police are probing how the impersonator ‘captian’ of Assam Regiment got access to the army area.
East Khasi Hills SP Sylvester Nongtnger said on Wednesday that Sar Chinon Rongpi from Karbi Anglong impersonated as a captain of the army.

“The army has handed him over to Jhalupara police outpost and further investigation is on”, the SP added.
The Army had detained him on Monday on suspicion of being a spy as he had visited various vital installations and took photographs.
