Mumbai, July 3 (UNI) Erasing losses, the BSE Sensex on Wednesday spurted 545.35 pts to close a historic high at 79,986.89 following gains in Bankex, Financial Services, and Industrials stocks.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) jumped 162.65 points to 24,286.50.

With Tuesday’s loss of 34 points, the BSE Sensex opened on a strong note at 80,0913.77, surging to a 572-point historic high. During the day, it rallied 633 points at 80,074.30, day’s high, before closing at 79,986.89, up 545.35 points from its last close.
Stocks like Bankex went up by 1.75%, financial services by 1.55% and industrials by 1.09%.
