Shillong, July 26: Several persons were killed in separate incidents due to rain-induced natural calamity from July 8 till 25.
Six persons were injured, including one due to lightning strike.

44 houses and 29 infrastructure facilities were also damaged.
According to the data, 11,571 were affected in 168 villages under 50 Blocks.
The crops affected are in 17.32 hectare area.
The most affected districts are East Khasi Hills, South West Khasi Hills, West Jaintia Hills, South West Garo Hills, Ri Bhoi , South Garo Hills and Eastern West Khasi Hills.
