Shillong, June 17: The Rongmei Phwam Shillong (Rongmei Naga Society) has expressed displeasure and condemned the heinous and murderous act of one Enrysing
Marbaniang (31), a resident of Mairang against a minor school girl on the
evening of June 15 at her residence in West Jaintia Hills.
The accused was arrested following the incident.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the organisation said that while the minor was alone at her home, the accused forcibly entered the house and sexually and physically assaulted her resulting in several injuries.
The organisation sought punishment as per law of the land as the incident brought out social disorder and shame to the society.
The society appreciated the police for the swift intervention and speedy arrest of the accused.
