Mairang,Nov 10: As the important moment to inaugurate the new district arrived, the VIPs gathered at the venue at Madan Tiehpdang, Pyndengumiong where the plaque was kept.
When the chief minister was set to unveil the plaque, the sun was sharp and there was a suggestion that for better visibility and media coverage, there is a need to shift the plaque.
Accordingly, the plaque was shifted (see picture) but the wait for its unveiling lingered only to know that they were waiting for the helicopter to drop flowers.
“If we can wait for many years for thttps://youtu.be/LOGI0LEv_xwhe district,we can wait for some time”, the chief minister was heard as saying as he and others anxiously waited for the helicopter”.
As the helicopter was visible on the sky and petals of flowers falling down, the chief minister unveiled the plaque in the presence of local MLA and Speaker Metbah Lyngdoh, cabinet ministers and officers.
