Shillong,Jan 12: Mixed Martial Arts fighters from Shillong delivered an outstanding performance at the DFL MMA National Tournament, held in Guwahati on January 10 and 11, bringing home top honours and reaffirming Meghalaya’s growing presence on the national MMA stage.
In the Female Atomweight category, Ribhalang Sun emerged victorious, capturing the Atomweight Title Belt after a series of dominant fights in the cage. Jayden secured Gold in the Juniors category. Meanwhile, Ronnie Thabah won Silver at the Welterweight Category. The team’s success was further capped by Angtang Kro Shadap, who was awarded Best Fighter of the Tournament, an honour that recognises exceptional performance and skill across all divisions.
All four fighters train at Happy Red Rooster MMA, a Shillong-based MMA gym that has been steadily producing competitive athletes at the state and national levels.
