Shillong June 27: Though some test reports are yet to come, the food safety commissioner had on June 24 lifted the ban on imported fish after the expiry of the ban for two weeks.
Chief Minister Conrad Sangma had on Monday adopted a cautious approach after formalin was detected in imported fish.

The food safety commissioner RM Kurbah did not respond when called to know the position.
A food safety officer said along with the 40 samples tested earlier, some more samples were sent and their test reports are awaited.
Though the Fisheries Minister AL Hek constituted a fact finding committee, the findings are yet to be known.
