Shillong, Oct 4: The AICC interim president Sonia Gandhi met both the MPCC president Vincent Pala and the CLP leader Mukul Sangma in Delhi and wanted them to ensure unity ahead of the bypolls and 2023 Assembly polls.
โWe both met madam and she said both of us are assets of the state and the party, she wants us to work togetherโ, Pala said.

When contacted on phone, Mukul did not respond but sources said that during the meeting, the CLP leader continuously conveyed that the AICC did not consult him.
โWe have been asked to consult each other when major decisions are taken, Pala said.
