Shillong, June 9: Sounder Strong Cajee passed away following a cardiac arrest on Sunday.
A relative informed that he felt uneasiness around 7.30 am at his residence in Laban and suffered a heart attack following which he was taken to Bethany Hospital where he was declared brought dead.
58-year-old Cajee was associated with FKJGP as its president and political parties NPP, AITC and BJP in various capacities. He had represented Mylliem as MDC.
He had unsuccessfully contested Assembly polls in 2018 from South Shillong on NPP ticket and in 2023 from Mawkyrwat on Trinamool Congress ticket.
Founder’s wife’s first death anniversary is in July.
His brother Founder Strong Cajee (55), former minister and four-time MDC from Mawlai had passed away following a cardiac arrest in CMC, Vellore in November 2015.
