Shillong, Dec 25: SPARK, a city-based NGO, organised a Christmas celebration on Sunday for about 400 underprivileged children in East Khasi Hills and Ri Bhoi.
The NGO holds events with the underprivileged children of the city each year. In a statement, SPARK said, “Believing that Christmas is about showcasing kindness, affection and happiness, a special get-to-gather programme was organised for these children. Every year SPARK aims to share the delight of the festive season by bringing smiles to the faces of the less privileged.”

The programme started with a special prayer service followed by an interactive session by Shima Modak, founder and president of SPARK.
