Shillong, Sept 20: The Shillong Inter School Basketball Tournament 2025 concluded on Saturday with thrilling semi-final and final matches at Pearly Dew Higher Secondary School Basketball Court, marking the end of two weeks of intense competition and sportsmanship.
Semi Final Results – Boys Category
1. St. Edmund’s ISC 60 (A Mawthoh 29 pts) defeated Little Flower H.S.S 52 (M Mawrie 17 pts, G Kharbuki 13 pts) – in a dramatic game that went into overtime.
2. Mizo Modern H.S.S 38 (I Larlmmowai 10 pts) defeated Jaiaw Presbyterian H.S.S 31 (G Umlong 14 pts).
Final – Girls Category
St Mary’s H.S.S 42 (Rimesha 14 pts) defeated Mylliem Presbyterian Secondary School 4 to claim the Girls’ Championship title.
Final – Boys Category
St Edmund’s ISC 54 (A Mawthoh 18 pts, D Kharbuki 13 pts) defeated Mizo Modern H.S.S 38 (Ishan 14 pts) to be crowned the Boys’ Champions of Shillong Inter School Basketball Tournament 2025.
The day witnessed remarkable displays of skill, determination and teamwork, particularly in the overtime semi-final clash and the commanding performances in the finals.
Distinguished guests, including senior officials from the Meghalaya Basketball Association, graced the closing ceremony.
The champions in both Boys’ and Girls’ categories received Rs 20,000 each, while the runners-up were awarded Rs 10,000 each.
