Shillong, July 9: Those who engage in works related to JN stadium, Polo here reported assaults during the drive initiated by the KSU to check work permits.
A technician and driver who came from outside the state faced harassment during the drive.

A senior police official , however, said the magistrates and the police personnel used to accompany the pressure groups whenever documents are checked.
Earlier, the KSU had initiated the drive in Mawprem and Mawlai after the pressure group had erected the ILP check gate in RI Bhoi which was later removed by the police.
