Shillong, Dec 9: The state BJP on Saturday protested against Congress Rajya Sabha MP Dhiraj Sahu for possession of Rs 300 crore in cash which was revealed by an IT raid.
The purpose was to draw people’s attention to the kind of corrupt practices that the grand old party has been indulging in.
Many karyakartas and morcha members who gathered at the BJP’s Shillong Office, raised slogans like ‘C- for Congress, C – for Corruption’ and ‘Down Down Congress’.
BJP chief spokesperson, M Kharkrang told reporters that for years these parties have been indulging in corrupt practices under the garb of promoting secularism. At BJP, we have a zero tolerance towards corruption. This is people’s money and every penny of this ill-gotten wealth must be returned to the people.”
