Shillong, Sep 19: The National Commission for Women has directed the state commission for women to meet the mother of the baby who died in a vehicle after delivery in Nongstoin allegedly due to traffic snarl following a fishing competition at Pamphyrnai in Ksehkohlong village.
An official with the national commission for women said the delegation of state women’s commission will meet the mother on Wednesday.

Earlier on September 18, the chairperson of the commission, Rekha Sharma wrote to Chief Secretary DP Wahlang seeking an action taken report within 7 days.
The commission also wanted the government to look after the needs of the mother.
