Shillong, July 12: The collegium of Supreme Court had on Wednesday recommended Justice Tashi Rabstan, a judge from Ladakh to be the new Chief Justice of High Court of Meghalaya after chief justice S Vaidyanathan retires next month.
An official handling legal matters said on Friday that after the recommendation of the collegium, the views of the state government will be taken before the appointment of new chief justice following which the Centre will issue an order.
