Shillong, Oct 3: The state government has postponed the central award ceremony to Meghalaya Police.
“The President’s Colour Presentation Ceremony of Meghalaya Police, scheduled to be held on Monday, the 5th October, 2026 at J.N. Stadium, Shillong, stands postponed due to unavoidable circumstances”, a statement said, adding that the new date of the ceremony will be announced in due course.

“All invitees, including dignitaries, officers, members of the media and the general public, are requested to kindly take note of the postponement. Fresh intimation will be sent once the new date is finalised.The inconvenience caused is deeply regretted, added the statement.
