State student to interact with PM in Pariksha Pe Charcha

Shillong, March 30: Shilla Bishnab, a class IX student of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Mawphlang will be one of the students from the country who will interact with the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi during the 5th edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha on April 1.

“Shilla, who is excited for this once in a lifetime opportunity said that she is going to discuss how the National Education Policy 2020 will empower students and the society in general besides how this policy is going to pave the way for the New India”, said a statement issued by PIB on Wednesday.

Modi will be interacting with the students, teachers and parents all over the world during the 5th edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha and the young girl from JNV Mawphlang says it is a great honour and proud moment for her to be selected for the charcha and to interact with the prime minister.

Pariksha Pe Charcha is a much-awaited annual event in which the prime minister responds to questions related to examination stress and related areas posed by students in his uniquely engaging style in a live programme.

Secretary of the Education Department  Ambrose Ch. Marak said it would be a great moment for the student of Meghalaya to interact with the prime minister, while informing that the department is making arrangements for the students and teachers in the state to watch this interaction.

The 5th edition will be held in New Delhi in a town-hall interactive format from Talkatora Stadium at 11 am. Crores of students, teachers and parents from India and abroad will be participating.

The students, teachers and parents who will get to ask questions to the prime minister, have been short-listed on the basis of an online creative writing competition on a bouquet of themes. The competition was organised from December  28, 2021 till February 3 2022 through MyGov platform. Over 15.7 lakh participants registered this year for the creative writing competition.

Participants selected through competitions on MyGov will be presented with a certificate of appreciation and a special Pariksha Pe Charcha kit comprising  exam warriors book, written by the prime minister.

The event will be streamed, not only across India, but also in other countries reaching out to the Indian diaspora.

The event will be live telecast on Doordarshan (DD National, DD News, DD India), radio channels, TV channels, digital media including YouTube channels of EduMinofIndia, narendramodi, pmoindia, pibindia, Doordarshan National, MyGovIndia, DDNews, RajyaSabha TV, Swayam Prabha.
