Shillong, Oct 12: Meghalaya will host the International Tourism Mart (ITM) from November 21 to 23.
Tourism Minister Paul Lyngdoh told reporters that the 11th edition of the ITM will take place in Shillong for three days.
“This is a very important landmark event because it will be for the first time that Shillong will be hosting the ITM,” he said.
Union Tourism Minister GK Reddy will inaugurate the ITM, which wil be participated by all states of the North East.
“We will have international participants from different countries who will be introduced to our crafts, our tourist spots, the activities that we have, the tour operators will be involved – so all stakeholders will be part of this,” Lyngdoh said.
Through the event, the department will be able to showcase Meghalaya as a tourist hub at the international level, he added.
