Shillong, April 22: Sangita Marak of Meghalaya Coop Apex Bank Ltd. Shillong was crowned Mrs VogueStar, 2023 at Le Meridien Jaipur Resort and Spa recently .
A resident of R.R.Colony, Rynjah, Marak(40) said the achievement was following months of training and grooming sessions and various talent rounds.
Addressing a press conference, Marak, a single parent, said VogueStar selected the city winners and crowned the contestants during the grand finale and the fashion show held there.
VogueStar founded by Kirti Choudhary, is a fraternity of women that organizes national-level beauty pageants in India with the idea of creating a safe space for women to express themselves freely.
The goal in the long run will be to create opportunities for women to flourish and make a mark for themselves in society irrespective of their backgrounds and physical attributes.
