Shillong, May 6: A student of Shillong polytechnic, Mawlai hanged herself on Monday early hours at the hostel.
The 24-year-old victim from Dakopgre, Tura, was pursuing 4th semester civil engineering.

The inmates alerted the warden, who found the victim hanging from a towel tied to the grill of the window of the girls hostel.
After the postmortem, the body was handed over to the relatives.
