“Parents and students are calling us to find out when the book shops will open, but we are unable to reply because from our government side they have not permitted us to open or to do home delivery”, a book stall owner said.

According to the book stall owners, not only students but even the general readers, who normally read fiction and others, have become restless during the lock down.

They said the government can allow home delivery system so that the students and book lovers will not suffer.

Many readers depend on online purchase of general books. However, the online service is limited or not prompt during the lockdown though the district administration recently allowed e-commerce and courier services.
