A police source said on Saturday that though 7 days of police custody was sought, the court of the first class judicial magistrate granted bail to the duo identified as Kyrmenlang  Mawrie from Laitkor and Kordorlang Thangkhiew, a resident of Nongthymmai.

The attack on Laitumkrah police station on July 7 ended in torching of vehicles.

The violence at the police station was following the clash between two groups of people over passage of vehicles in the area.
