Shillong, Aug 29: The state government will notify a text book review committee to add local content.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, advisor to education department HM Shangpliang said the purpose is to include history and geography of Meghalaya as the text books from outside the state do not have the local content.

When asked, Shangpliang said it is upto the NEHU Vice Chancellor to find a solution to the problem arising of implementation of NEP.
“The state wants to implement NEP but the differences over the matter will have to be sorted out by the VC.
