Shillong, March 6: NPP legislator from North Tura Thomas Sangma is the nominee of the MDA-2 for the post of the Assembly Speaker.
A senior NPP leader said on Monday that the decision was taken in the meeting of the party MLAs and it was discussed with the MDA members and a consensus was arrived at.

The Speaker’s election is scheduled on March 9.
