Three chess players from state awarded in Guwahati

Shillong, July 15: The Meghalaya Chess Association (MCA) has announced that three players from the state received prizes at the 7th Ayodhana International Open FIDE Rating Chess Tournament 2025, held at Assam Down Town University, Guwahati, recently.

The three players are Rijied Katrai (Best North-East), Khrawkupar Pajat (Best Below 1599 Rating) and Ras Lal Upadhyaya (37th Position).

Last month, the 48th Meghalaya State FIDE Rating Chess Championship 2025 was conducted by the East Khasi Hills District Chess Association (EKHDCA) under the aegis of MCA.
