Shillong, Aug 18: Police on Monday (Aug 18) arrested three youths for sexually assaulting a minor.
According to the police, on August 17, information was received that a minor girl had gone missing from her residence on August 16.
“A search was made by relatives, but she was not located anywhere. Later, she returned, and on being asked by family members, she revealed that someone had sexually assaulted her. On the following morning, she further revealed that one accused, identified as Kyntiewborlang Dkhar (19), had invited her to eat at a shop. He brought along two unknown men. They brought alcohol and forced her to drink it. She further stated that Kyntiewborlang Dkhar sexually assaulted her at one location. She lost consciousness as she was sexually assaulted. Later, she regained consciousness. The accused persons themselves dropped back the survivor”, the police said.
In this regard, a case has been registered and all 3 accused persons have been arrested and produced before the court.
The names of the other two accused persons are Riskhem Nongsiej (27) and Baskhembor Dkhar( 27)
