Shillong, Feb 3: East Khasi Hills Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) arrested three persons including a woman and seized ganja and liquor on Sunday.
In a statement issued on Monday, the police said in a coordinated effort with Mawryngkneng Police Station, the ANTF intercepted a Tata Yodha vehicle (MZ01/Z 3654) with contrabands and three persons.
The vehicle was travelling from Shillong to Mizoram.
The arrested persons:
1.Sabina Lalnunmawiii(23)
R/o Zokhawthar, Champhai, Mizoram
2. Lalrinmawia Chenkua(19)
R/o Dapchhuah,Mizoram
3. Lalrosanga(28)
R/o Edenthar, Tlangnuam, Aizawl,Mizoram
The following items were recovered and seized.
1. Two mobile phones.
2. One driving licence.
3. One green sofa set where the contraband was hidden
4. Tata Yodha B/R No MZ01Z/ 3654.
5. 10.455 kg ganja.
6. 235 bottles of alcohol(750 ml).
