Shillong,June 1: Consumption of wild mushrooms has resulted in the death of three minors on Saturday in West Jaintia Hills.
The incident took place at Saphai village, Laskein C&RD Block after the members of three families consumed poisonous mushrooms.

According to West Jaintia Hills SP, Chemphang Syrti, three families who were affected were taken to MCH hospital, Jowai by for treatment.
Three minor children of the same family, Wansalan Suchiang (14), Kitlangki Suchiang (10) and Riwanka Suchiang (8) died at MCH hospital, Jowai while their mother Jumonlang Suchiang (43) and her 10 month-old son are in critical condition at NEIGRIHMS.
Police said the members of the affected second family are Ribaitki Shadap, Shanmi Shadap and Sah Shadap and they are in MCH Hospital Jowai.
The third affected family members admitted at MCH hospital are Over Sutnga, Anna Suchiang and Niwanshwa Kanai.
