Shillong, July 4: The state government has notified the appointment of lamonlang M Syiem as the Chairperson, Meghalaya State Commission for Women for a period of 3 years from the date of joining.
In a notification issued on June 27, Principal Secretary, Social Welfare Department said ‘the Governor of Meghalaya is pleased to appoint Smt. lamonlang M. Syiem as the Chairperson, Meghalaya State Commission for Women for a period of 3(three) years from the date of joining’.

The honorarium, allowances and conditions of service shall be governed by the Meghalaya State Commission for Women (Salaries, Allowance and Conditions of Service of Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson and Members) Rules, 2005, the order said.
