Shillong, July 5: The traditional heads met Deputy Chief Minister- in-charge District Council Affairs Prestone Tynsong and sought his intervention on restoring the taxes imposed by the traditional institutions under Hima.

Speaking to reporters on behalf of the traditional institutions, John Kharshiing said that the toll collected by the traditional institutions was stopped which caused hardships to the institutions as there is hardly any help from the district council.
The deputy chief minister assured to take up the matter with the concerned authorities.
