According to a report by Prajatantra, a Hindi newspaper in Indore, among other things that the police team confiscated were the ticket to Shillong and the phone that Raj Kushwaha, the alleged lover of Sonam Raghuvanshi, gave to Vishal. The newspaper also reported that the three accused — Anand Kumar, Vishal Chauhan and Akash Rajput — are friends of Raj Kushwaha. Vishal and Anand are students. None of them has any criminal record.
Raj was in Indore during Raja Raghuvanshi’s funeral.
In Indore, the accused were interrogated in the bungalow of a police officer. According to the newspaper report, Sonam and the other accused hatched the murder plan in a café in the city’s Super Corridor.
Meanwhile, Sonam’s family, which was vehemently denying her involvement in the murder in the beginning, has taken a U-turn. Govind Raghuvanshi, Sonam’s brother, said on Wednesday that they are severing all the ties with Sonam and “we are with Raja’s family”.
