Truckers’ body objects to late fee of Rs10 k for renewal of permit

Shillong,Dec 14: Meghalaya Truckers, Owners and Suppliers Association has asked the state government to roll back Rs 10,000 imposed as fine for late renewal of permit by by various vehicles.

In a letter to the Transport Minister Dasakhiat Lamare on Tuesday, the association said due to Covid, they are in financial difficulty and hence it will be an added burden on them.
