Shillong, March 2: Police arrested two Bangladeshis and a driver in West Jaintia Hills.
According to the police, last night around 8.30 pm the patrolling party of Dawki PS apprehended two Bangladeshi nationals namely Monirul Biswas and Lovely Khatun- both of village Bhombag dist Narail, Khulna division of Bangladesh. Besides seizing the vehicle (ML 05AG 7472), the driver Pynshaibha Khaii of Wahsarang village, East Jaintia Hills was also arrested.
A case was registered vide Dawki PS case no 5(3)2026 u/s 21/19(1)/24 of Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025.
