Shillong, Oct 19: Sohphlang Farmers Autumn Festival will be held from October 25 to 26 at Jongksha, Lad Kharang.
The festival will showcase Sohphlang, the seasonal fruit.
The time for October 25 is from 1 pm to 7 pm and on Oct 26, it is from 10 am to 7 pm.
During the festival, other events on October 25 include talent show and concert.
On October 26, there will be performance of local artists, social awards, farmers’ fashion show and concert.
The festival is organised by Mawkynrew Sohphlang Socio Cultural Society supported by basin development, tourism department and bethany society.
Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, Agriculture Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh, local MLA Banteidor Lyngdoh and commissioner and secretary Vijay Kumar are expected to attend.
