Shillong, Sept 1:Two people were arrested with drugs in the city on Monday.
According to the police, on receipt of source information about one suspected drug peddler, a raid was conducted by Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), Meghalaya in the rented house of Sadik Ahmed (27) and Arti Dorjee (28) at Nepali compound, Rilbong, around 10 pm and four soap boxes containing suspected contraband substance( heroin) were recovered. Testing was conducted on the spot in the presence of witnesses by ANTF.

The total net weight of the contraband was found to be 42.10 grams.
In this regard, an NDPS case is being registered by the East Khasi Hills police.
