Shillong, June 17: Two women were arrested in connection with the seizure of heroin in the city on Monday.
In a statement, the SP East Khasi Hills Sylvester Nongtnger said that during regular checking in the early hours of June 17, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of East Khasi Hills, Shillong recovered 454.32 grams of heroin near Madanrting Police Station from the women who were travelling in a tourist traveller vehicle.
They have been identified as Tinkhonei Haokip (37), daughter of Paokam Haokip and Mongkim Haokip (53) wife of Paolal Haokip- both the residents of New Keithelmanbi Village, Senapati, Manipur
Both the persons were arrested, and an investigation has been taken up vide Madanriting PS Case No 71(6)2024 u/s 21(c)/29 NDPS Act.
