Shillong, July 29: Two important portfolios were taken away from Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong in the reshuffle carried out by Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Thursday.
Though Tynsong was allotted Health and Family Welfare from AL Hek, two portfolios- Animal Husbandry and Veterinary and Labour were taken away from him and given to the new minister, Sanbor Shullai.
The gain was for Shullai as he got these two portfolios and other departments like Arts and Culture, Labour , Animal Husbandry and Veterinary, Home (passport) and Prisons minus health and family welfare handled by Hek.
Besides health portfolio, Tynsong has only housing, parliamentary affairs, PWD (roads), food and civil supplies and consumer affairs and cooperation departments which were already held by him.
