Shillong, July 14: A UDP delegation led by party leader Jemino Mawthoh met the chairperson of committee on roster system , Ampareen Lyngdoh, on Friday.
The party submitted eight-point suggestions to the minister, who is also heading the committee of political parties on reservation policy.

Mawthoh said since Ampareen requested not to reveal the eight points, the party will not be able to make public the suggestions.
“But we can say our suggestions are non-discriminatory and we have adopted a balanced approach”, Mawthoh said.
He, however, said the view of the party is for change in the current reservation policy and not for status quo.
