Shillong, Oct 30: The United Democratic Party (UDP) and the Hill State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP) will field only one candidate for the Lok Sabha polls under the Regional Democratic Alliance (RDA).
Three names-Khasi Authors’ Society (KAS) president Dr DRL Nonglait, former HYC president Robertjune Kharjahrin and former Mawlai legislator Process T Sawkmie – have been doing the round to contest the Shillong seat.

The UDP general secretary Jemino Mawthoh wanted other regional political parties to come together and take collective decision on the common candidate.
