UDP to raise roster, border & power issues with CM
Shillong, May 12: The core committee of the UDP has decided to meet Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on issues related to roster, reservation policy, power crisis and border clashes.
The core committee met on Friday to deliberate on the roster system and reservation policy in the state.
The meeting also discussed the frequency of harassment of border residents by people from Assam, latest being the recent clashes at Khanduli.
Further, the meeting also deliberated on the power crisis faced by the state which has resulted in load shedding, that has affected the state.
“It was decided that the views and concerns will be expressed to the chief minister on his return to the state capital. An appointment to this regard will be sought for at the earliest possible”, the UDP vice president Allantry F Dkhar said in a statement.
