Shillong, March 27: The transport department has informed that both the fare and seating capacity prescribed for travel by buses, sumos and maxi cabs, local taxis, auto-rickshaws and two-wheelers have been reverted to the pre-Covid period.
In a statement issued on Monday, Commissioner and Secretary to the transport department said the decision is as per the Motor Vehicles Act for all categories of vehicles subject to strict compliance of Covid protocols.
