Shillong, Nov 13: 21 villages protested and took out a march to the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) to oppose the delimitation as they were forcefully shifted from Mawshynrut constituency to Rambrai Constituency.
The agitation was spearheaded by the
Joint Action Committee (Misei, Mawsmai, Langdongdai) West Khasi Hills.
With placards, the villagers staged a demonstration by sitting on the middle of the road affecting vehicular movement after they were prevented from forcefully entering the KHADC premises.
